Mr. Lauson is a senior partner in Lauson & Associates Inc., an educational consulting firm in Vancouver. With his 43 years of experience in British Columbia and International private education and 14 years as President of the Federation of Independent School Associations (350+ schools), he supports SKY Secondary School in providing an excellent education to its students.

It is with great enthusiasm that I join the SKY Secondary School family, and I am truly excited to welcome students into my classroom. With 14 years of experience in education – as a classroom teacher, academic adviser, vice-principal, and principal in BC Offshore Schools – I am passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that support both academic and personal growth. I hold a Master of Education in Leadership and Administration from the University of New Brunswick and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling Psychology to further support the diverse needs of students. I believe that success looks different for every student, and it is my mission to help each one discover their strengths, build confidence, and reach their full potential. At SKY Secondary, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment where students are empowered to thrive, and I look forward to working alongside families and colleagues to help each student grow into a thoughtful, capable, and confident individual.

It is with great joy and pride that I am part of the SKY Secondary School community, and it is an honour to welcome each student into such a vibrant and supportive learning environment. As a science teacher, I strive to bring not only knowledge into the classroom, but also curiosity - encouraging students to explore the world with a sharper, more inquisitive eye. To me, teaching is about more than lessons and grades; it is about building meaningful relationships and supporting students as they grow both academically and personally. I believe a great teacher can have a lasting impact on the direction of a student’s life, and that is a responsibility I carry with great care. I look forward to learning, growing, and discovering alongside every student who walks into my classroom at SKY Secondary.

I am grateful to be part of the SKY Secondary School community and to have the opportunity to support our students and families throughout their time at SKY. As part of the administrative team, I strive to be a welcoming and approachable point of contact for students and families. Whether they have a question, need assistance, or are simply unsure of where to turn, I am always happy to help and connect them with the right support. I believe that open communication and a supportive environment play an important role in creating a positive school experience. I enjoy getting to know our students and families and working closely with our teachers and staff. My goal is to help make each student’s experience at SKY feel welcoming, supported, and connected from the moment they become part of our school community.
